I have used this item before and it's been great. However, this one was delivered and was matt black instead of chrome....

Installation was easy and straight forward. Removing the old drain took a lot more time. The build quality seems good. Only time will tell if it holds. So far, I did not have any leak issues. I did not use plumbers putty. I only used the provided gasket. This model makes it easy to clean the drain. You can unscrew the top, and you have easy access for maintenance. This is the main reason that led me to replace my old stopper, as gunk built up and mold developed. There were many spots in which gunk could cling to and this stopper did not. The only negative I see is that the water pools around the drain. It does not completely drain because it does not sit completely flush. Only time will tell how much of a problem this would be in the future. I could wipe the drain after every use to prevent problems, but that is not something I should have to do.

If you use the supplied silicone gasket it will under the lip of the pop up drain, it elevates the lip such that the water will pool around the lip. To resolve the issue use plumbers putty instead of the silicone gasket so that the lip sits flush with the bottom of the sink.

The hardest--and most gross--part of the install was getting the old one out. Once that was out and everything cleaned, it was very easy. I didn't use the pipe tape nor did I use putty; the washer worked well for my particular sink with no leaks at all. I chose this drain because of the quality of the parts. The price point is excellent (for the product) and I got it very quickly. I am a 71 year old woman and was able to get this done easily and quickly with no problems. I highly recommend! Just remember to make sure your sink needs a drain without overflow and that the hole in your sink will fit the diameter of this unit.

Sink drain works perfectly. Instructions were easy to follow and were correct. Made with high quality material, not some cheap crap. Best to dry fit first to determine if the sink basin's washer should be used or be replaced with plumber's putty. Reason: washer left the drain too high in the sink creating a small "dam". Height issue was resolved by removing the basin washer and using plumber's putty.

I did have to use plumbers putty because the silicone gasket didn’t fit well but this plug works beautifully and seals well. Highly recommended!!

Very easy to install. Good looking unit that would make a great replacement for an older sink. Pop up drain seals well and is super easy to use. It is such a a well made and inexpensive unit I will eventually use it to replace the drains in the other sinks. Not sure how it will handle all the hair in the house, but the top drain piece unscrews easily allowing access to the opening, so it should be easy to clean.

I like the quality, but after installation water doesn't go down. I saw couple of reviews had the same issue. I'm not sure if one of the pieces is defected. I followed all the installation instructions.

My husband is a contractor and installed these in a house - he said the quality was good! The installation was easy, size looks nice in the sink he installed them in, and they work great! Easy to clean and don’t allow leakage when stopped.

The drain installed well and seemed to be solidly designed The oil rubbed bronze finish came off in about 60 days so it is now simply aluminum colored Will need to replace it.
