We use it in our professional motorcycle and ATV service shop. It reads the voltage pulse going to the spark plug coils. It does plug straight in to our Jensen multi-meter and works great. Saves us lots of time and work when there is no/weak spark on motors. Would definitely buy again.

Needed this to diagnose an outboard motor. All other similar units were exponentially more expensive. This worked well and did what it was supposed to. Highly recommended for the shade-tree mechanic.

Absolutely required if you work on boats / atvs / etc.. I've got a really good Fluke meter, wasn't sure about the readings I was getting so I bought this (the meter was actually reading it correctly (no advertised DVA built in, but hey its a Fluke) My other two meters were just like 34;What?34; and worthless for reading stater and triggers. With this tool I was able to diagnose the problem (with assurance) in 5 minutes and order parts.

My use for this is to measure the peak voltage output of pulsed direct current from electrofishers. The testing so far indicates excellent results, eliminating an oscilloscope for measurements. I am delighted with this product so far and wish it could read to 1000 volts instead of 400 volts. Am impressed with the leads and their screw-on connection to the alligator clips. That is important for my use (sometimes in chest waders within a high-voltage electrical field). This works for square wave and half sine wave PDC.

A must have for low voltage pulse readings. Tested my boats electronics with it, and found a signal for fire to the coil which made me look at the ignition module. Saved me time, money, and holes in the wall.
