I needed a DVA adapter to diagnose electrical issues on an outboard. It did what I needed it to do.

This allowed me to isolate electrical issues on my Mercury and repair it myself. Needed to test stator, switch boxes, trigger, etc. Great value. Fit my Craftsman meter perfect.

I used this to diagnose an alternator/stator-combination-starter for a Honda Ruckus and found it sound, though I do wish the alligator clamps weren't so cheap. The connectors would misalign, constantly.

Used for testing my outboard boat engine to see what part was bad. Thought it was stator but it tested good so ordered main control box and that got me back on the water.

My son was having an intermittent ignition problem with his motocross bike that I was unable to properly diagnose with just my Fluke 325. Plug this adapter into meter, hook the leads to the stator or primary side of the ignition and kick the bike over. This unit worked great, appears to have decent leads and is a great compliment to my Fluke. My only very minor complaint would be that the directions are completely geared to outboard engines, but the principle is the same.

Alligator clip for the negative terminal broke first use tried to solder the threaded part back on but whatever it's made out of is not solder able

If you have an older outboard or other 2 stroke motor with a capacitor discharge ignition and you know how to use a digital multimeter this will save you time, aggravation and money troubleshooting ignition problems.
