Organic U.S.A. family farm black turtle beans soaked overnight and thoroughly cooked at Eden's certified organic and kosher cannery with purified water and zero chemical additives. A creamy, sweet, versatile bean; a favorite in the Americas, the Caribbean, and a Mexican staple. Superb with whole grain, in soups, stews, salads, salsa, and for Mexican dishes such as burritos, tostadas, quesadillas, tacos, and refried beans. Antioxidant pigments, aka carotenoids, give them their deep color. Rich in healthy fiber and a good source of protein, iron, and magnesium. No salt added. Packed in (BPA) free can linings since April 1999.
They are great heated and served as is, or delicious in soups, stews, salads, dips, spreads, and salsa. They're ideal for Mexican dishes such as tacos, tortillas, burritos, and enchiladas, and in Black Bean & Tomato Chili Salsa and Black Bean Veggie Soup.

I bought these to try and see if the Kombu method yielded good results as well as testing if the flavor changed and I can say these beans are probably the best canned black beans I've tried. Number one reason being that there was no mush in the can which would normally cause the food you add to, to become dark in color. And no, there was no side effects nor could I taste that they had been prepared using seaweed.
