This is an exact replacement for your mailbox lock. The only drawback is that you need a good rapport with your carrier to have him open the box so you can replace it.

My mail box lock was rusted. I couldn't open it. I bought this lock to replace my old lock. It's perfectly fitted to my mail box. Very easy to replace it.

The keyway was different than the original lockset that was in the mailbox but it didnt matter at least in this instance, this is a well made lock that fit perfect and works perfect

Install was easy but I had to grind down some burrs which were stopping the lock from freely opening and closing.

Tried several locks but this is the only one that fits perfectly. Don't order cheap ones because they won't work, this one fit right in and the key works flawlessly without any strength being added to turn the lock

Was easy to install. This lock doesn't come with the metal piece that actually holds the mailbox door shut, so I reused the one from my old lock. The keys that came with this lock all work well and open smoothly.

Replaced a lock we lost the keys for. Used the latch from old lock on this and it works perfectly. It literally looks exactly like the one I replaced. Just make sure you order the lock with the correct turning direction - clockwise or counter-clockwise.

It comes without latches wich make it cheaper compared with other places that sold the same lock.

Couldn't fine this particular lock in home depot or lowes. Only one that would work with my mailbox.

The actual latch lever is not included. If you are replacing a lock, keep and reuse that part!

The only issue I had with this was the lock did not come with the cam that actually locks the mailbox. I had to buy the Heavy Duty Cam before I could install the lock. Please note the key cannot be removed until after the lock and cam are installed. Don't try to forcefully remove it as that may damage the lock.
