The Maxxcare Heel Pro Evolution is an advanced heel offloading device for single-patient use. The unique heel float provides maximum comfort and pressure relief for all patients at risk of developing pressure injuries in the vulnerable heel area. The pre-inflated air capsules inside the boot create optimum comfort and stable positioning to support the foot and ensure effective pressure redistribution to the heel area. In addition, the non-skid bottom allows the patient to ambulate out of bed while still wearing the heel protector.
The heel boot is designed to help protect against decubitus ulcers at potential high risk areas and any area with lower skin integrity due to previous skin breakdown. To address the risk of pressure damage from shear, the smooth external fabric produces minimal friction between the patient's skin and the underlying surface. It provides protection against shear and friction in case of bended legs from knee contractures or restless patients.
Offloading pressure from the heel when used in supine and optimum seating positions, Maxxcare Heel Pro Evolution is both a preventative and treatment tool. The heel protector is more comfortable and less bulky than traditional heel floats. It is available in a standard size (one size fits most) and features adjustable velcro straps to ensure the best individual fit.
