It has a fine mesh side and kind of a crosshatched weave on the other. Used it for a jukebox, and GE portable stereo speakers. Works well.

Finally made some new grill frames for my 1974 Pioneer CS-R700 speakers. Found this covering, went for it and glad I did. Really great quality material and easy to work with.1 minor issue - The material itself appeared to be cut from the bulk roll on a slight angle. So, had I not looked, and just lined the material up edge to edge with my new frames top edge, then the hole pattern would have been angled. This issue can also happen if you stretch one side more than the other, or pull unevenly as you work down one of the long sides. So be aware of that.

Used it to cover the port on this box. Looks like a different color black. Hoping it doesn't fade. Turned out great.

I was initially concerned this would be tricky to work with. However it only took a pair of scissors, a stapler, and about ten minutes to get the job done. As long as you measure and apply force symmetrically you will not get wrinkles or bunching.

The grills on the small globe-shaped Gallo speakers pop off after a time. Gluing them back worked for a short time. I've been holding them on with ugly rubber bands. I bought this mesh speaker grille cloth to try to wrap around the speaker globes but haven't yet gotten around to that task on my bucket list. The grille cloth looks like the perfect solution to my needs.
