This knit beanie is soft and very warm. The light is super bright for those late nights at the barn or walking the dog in the neighborhood. It is easy to recharge the light, too.

I bought the bright yellow and I love the way it shows up, even with the light off. I walk regularly in dark and near-dark hours in cloudy Oregon, and it's nice to be seen. (I consider it an omen of bad luck to be run over while walking.) I like the fact that this is not overly hot. I have stocking caps that get sweaty when I walk. But I need to comment that the weave of this one is quite open--I was out walking in near-freezing temperatures today and could feel the cold breeze on my ears and on my bald head. In really cold climates, one might need to put it over a watch cap. It's fun to look like a minion. But note that the light is low on the cap, approximately over the forehead. So if I want to roll this up to feel more like a watch cap, the light is going to get in the way. The light is really bright, but has two lower levels when the bright isn't needed. It charges reasonably quickly, so I harge it once a week.
