The CRL Pinnacle Hinge is similar to our popular Geneva Series Hinge, but with one design change: Pinnacle has radius corners and beveled edges for a sleek appearance. Pinnacle Hinges accommodate 5/16" (8 mm) to 1/2" (12 mm) thick tempered safety glass, and are self-centering when within 15 degree of the closed position. Pinnacle Hinges are constructed of solid brass, and have stainless steel plunger tips, pins, and springs to ensure long service life and reliable door closure. The Pinnacle Hinge also contains the same Reversible 5 degree Pivot Pin featured in our Geneva, Cathedral, Roman, Ultimate, and Elite Series Hinges. A Custom Pivot Pin is also available for "off-angle" installations.
STANDARD REVERSIBLE PIVOT PIN: Each Pinnacle Hinge contains a Reversible Pivot Pin. One side of the Pin is marked at 90 degree. The opposite side of the Pin is marked 85 degree. Standard Pinnacle Hinges come with the 90 degree side activated. Pre-Set Models come with the Pin pre-set for 85 degree (5 degree tighter closure into shower interior). The Pin can be rotated (not flipped upside down) to activate the other side.
CUSTOM PIVOT PIN: Custom Pivot Pins are available to accommodate "off-angle" installations. As an example, you may encounter a wall that will not meet your door at 90 degree. If the standard 5 degree Pivot Pin contained in the hinge does not assist in closing the door to the position desired, you may specify the angle needed for a Custom Pivot Pin (up to 45 degree).
Using two hinges with 5/16" to 1/2" glass (8 to 12 mm) the hinge will hold up to 80 lbs. (36 kg) with a maximum door width of 28" (711 mm).
Using three hinges with 5/16" to 1/2" glass (8 to 12 mm) the hinge will hold up to 120 lbs. (54 kg) with a maximum door width of 32" (813 mm).

This is fine. I’ve also found using my dewalt multi tool works just as well, if you go in flat you can clean up the caulking pretty quick. No issues cracking glass however it’s still possible. Tape the cracks.

If you have windows that have been painted shut, this tool is THE thing to use. Brilliant design, well-built, indispensable. DO NOT try to use a box cutter type utility knife (unless you also ordered a huge box of bandages with it). Get this tool, and be amazed at how quickly and easily you'll be able to saw through that old paint. I would have been lost without this one. Thank you!!!

This is the perfect tool to cut between the window frame and the insulated glass unit.The blade of the tool is very thin with serrated edges and cuts the glazing tape easily, much easier than I thought it would cut the glazing tape.The tool fits easily between the window And the window frame gently glide the tool around the window perimeter to cut the glazing tape and remove an insulated glass unit.Highly recommended

This thing is a lifesaver! I have spent whole days on windows, trying to get them unstuck so I can sand and paint. This thing just zips right through the old stuckness and the window move. One suggestion - be sure to do this before you paint. I had already painted a couple of windows part way and this messed up the new paint when I unstuck the windows with this tool - it does rip through layers of old, hard paint after all. So I had to paint again - no big deal. It was worth it!

Tool can be used to pull paint out of the joint, rather than push it in as with utility knife or oscillating tool.
