I admit I was (still am) a bit skiddish about winding this dude up to 20,000 RPMs, with razor sharp bit installed. But it worked as advertised. No vibration as others have commented about. While I won't hesitate using it again, I'll try to avoid it if possible! There's just something about that extended length that makes me nervous...

Came well packaged in a reusable plastic container. Was used to extend the reach of a 1.534; diameter carbide surface cutter and worked as expected.

i'm using this on a large 1990s vintage 3 hp router I have mounted in a router table. I had always been frustrated with this router fit into the router table. I was difficult to change bits and many bits couldn't be adjusted to lift high enough above the surface of the table without choking up far too high on the bit's shank. My thought at first was that I would only use this extender in these cases due to concerns that larger bits might tend to chatter more given the additional length. I've since changed my mind...this extender will remain permanently mounted in the router. I can tell no difference between having this mounted in the router or absent. Additionally, bits release far easier from this chuck than the factory Makita chuck. Happy beyond my expectation!

This a great product. It works well with my CMT bowl bits. I could have created the depth in the bowls without it.
