Ez curl bar was very sturdy. But you may want to buy better clamps for the plates. The ones that were included Keeps loosening

It was a steal! Melting away my chubby arms and even comfortable for deadlift. No chipping on the black easy curl and I had it over 3 months with constant use.

The only down side to this bar is the nuts holding the weights on always loosen up very quickly, this is annoying. The bar is solid and feels good in your hands

This bar is a great value. Yes, the chrome is cheap, yes, the collars will loosen after a few sets (doesn't that happen with any of the screw-on type?). So what? This econo-priced bar does what it's supposed to do and is a great addition to your home gym.The texture on the grip part is good with or without gloves, and I have noticed no flexing of the bar at moderate weights. I do wonder if it would be even more comfortable if the angle of the grips was a little more extreme, but as it is it takes a lot of strain off your wrists, compared to a straight bar.

For an item that was pretty inexpensive (when I purchased it - the price appears to have doubled since then), there doesn't seem to be anything cheap about this. Very sturdy. Occasionally I have to re-tighten the collars when doing curls, but that could be more to do with the cheap weights I use with it rather than with the bar.

This is an amazing investment, and the bar feels very comfortable and sturdy. The collars do come off easily, but as long as you do slow and controlled reps you should be fine, and they're very easy to take off for drop sets. The only bad thing is that i got two splinters from the little prices ofmetal (still not much to worry about), so make sure to rub the bar with a towel to remove the hanging little prices of metal.

The bar seems very sturdy and has very smooth operating nuts that screw on the ends. Fits perfect on our Gold's Gym bench from Walmart. I read in reviews that someone's had sharp edges or peeling chrome. Ours doesn't and the surface seems very durable. I would but it again!
