The CAP Deluxe Utility Bench incorporates all of the necessary features and functions found on traditional weightlifting utility benches and incorporates additional features to take advantage of other training methods. Use the CAP Deluxe Utility Bench as a key component in dumbbell training routines. Perform a number of upper and lower body exercises while incorporating dumbbell use to hit goals and build / maintain muscle. This bench can also be used as the center piece for core exercises, and is great for leg lifts, crunches, twists and more. An industry first feature also allows the bench to be used with resistance tubes or bands to incorporate low impact resistance exercise alternatives to your exercise program (great for rehabilitation and senior strength building). There is space between the frame and the flat metal plate that adjusts the angle of the bench that makes it very wobbly when leaning back, but putting a metal spacer there solves it fine.

I like the CAP weight bench. The back is not very strong. If you lie back at an angle and reach back to pull your legs and hips up, if feels as if its going to break (I only weigh 155 lbs). It needs a stronger thickness of wood and took off a star for that. It was easy to put together, and enjoy the bench for everything else without flaw.

This weight bench was very easy to put together. The bench can handle the weight, but it wobbles at the locking points. Yes, I did verify that the bolts and in place and tight.I also have to constantly re-adjust the locking slide brackets because the holes don’t match up with the spring lock.

After two months of almost-daily use, this bench has held up well. The padding has the right level of sturdiness and cushioning. The adjustment settings achieve all the angles I use for my workouts.The seat pad incurred a small tear along one of the seams while I had the seat up for inclined bench presses. I learned that you need to be careful when sitting on the seat that you sit all the way back, rather than sitting at the front end and sliding down, which pulls the fabric and can stretch it or lead to tears. That sounds obvious, but the seat is pretty tall when it is in its highest position, so you need to be careful when getting on the bench while carrying weights (if the seat is up).Adjusting the bench is simple and fast with the quick-release screwing knobs. Great value for the price. It's very sturdy and has held up well.
