Very sturdy, heavy enough to stay still but light enough to move around especially with the wheels. Install took less than an hour.

I chose for a while and this model looks like it's most steady within this price range. Indeed after assembling it stands well on my floor carpet. Seems no need to buy gym tiles, thumbs up!

If you want a rusted workout bench, this is the one for you.Seems like it's been sent to us used. Part 4 also has holes that don't align for the alien screws.

If you're not lifting heavy or heavy yourself then this will most likely hold up okay - especially for the $100 price tag.Could min-max this bench (if welds all look good) by replacing the seat and back pads with higher quality third party mods or DIY one with some know how.I know I will be upgrading from this shortly but it's far better than rigging some dinning bench's or similar such to make it work!

Very impressed with this bench! It's a tank compared to anything else in the price range. I am 6'2 and could use a little more head rest, but still love this bench. CAP, looks like you could easyily sell a head rest extension....just an idea :)

Not sure why everybody is giving this a bad rap. For less than $100 you can't get a better made bench. And Cap isn't a cheapo brand. Granted I don't lift more than 200 lbs this works better for me.There are weld quality issues in places where it's not too important. If the wood base for the seats and supports break, you can alway DIY a new one.

Bought a more heavy duty bench, and it's not welded straight and the cushioned benched lean to one side and you feel like you're sliding off. I managed to manipulate the bench to lay flat, but the frame is still crooked. Not sure I'd buy again.

There is space between the frame and the flat metal plate that adjusts the angle of the bench that makes it very wobbly when leaning back, but putting a metal spacer there solves it fine.

I like the CAP weight bench. The back is not very strong. If you lie back at an angle and reach back to pull your legs and hips up, if feels as if its going to break (I only weigh 155 lbs). It needs a stronger thickness of wood and took off a star for that. It was easy to put together, and enjoy the bench for everything else without flaw.

This weight bench was very easy to put together. The bench can handle the weight, but it wobbles at the locking points. Yes, I did verify that the bolts and in place and tight.I also have to constantly re-adjust the locking slide brackets because the holes don’t match up with the spring lock.

After two months of almost-daily use, this bench has held up well. The padding has the right level of sturdiness and cushioning. The adjustment settings achieve all the angles I use for my workouts.The seat pad incurred a small tear along one of the seams while I had the seat up for inclined bench presses. I learned that you need to be careful when sitting on the seat that you sit all the way back, rather than sitting at the front end and sliding down, which pulls the fabric and can stretch it or lead to tears. That sounds obvious, but the seat is pretty tall when it is in its highest position, so you need to be careful when getting on the bench while carrying weights (if the seat is up).Adjusting the bench is simple and fast with the quick-release screwing knobs. Great value for the price. It's very sturdy and has held up well.

This bench was working fine enough until slightly over a month in. The bench started rocking from side to side. I assessed the problem and it was the top right and bottom left feet being more elevated than the other feet. The most stress I had placed on this bench prior was a 225 bench press. CAP has a horrible 30-day warranty on this bench so I couldn't do anything in regards to getting a replacement or something. Since then (which was very long ago by now), I have been using wooden inserts to level out the bench. It works well once it's leveled. However, this type of quality is unacceptable from such a well-known company. I suggest looking elsewhere for a weight bench, even knockoff brands use steel that doesn't bend easily.
