Storing my decades-old Weider 1" plates on this. They were with me during my first foray into weightlifting. I still use them. Painted gloss black. They look odd among the contemporary plates, but there is something about vintage steel vs. modern plates. Anyway, setup is a breeze. It's sturdy. (TIP: loosely tighten the base screws. Add final tightening after you've put the plates on it.) If you have 1" plates and don't have a billion of them, this should work for you.

It was actually a bit annoying to install, but it is certainly sturdy and tight afterward. If it is loose, it is probably because you aren't fully fastening and tightening it. I only had the torque wrench, but I needed to apply a counter rotation whilst tightening the one I was working on in order to properly tighten it. Otherwise, it would have been loose.

Rack size is great but construction is questionable. The posts are hollow with a treaded plate welded at the end. They attach to the rack trough one layer of the tube steel by means of a short screw. The strengh of the rack completely depends on the hole in the outer layer on the tube steel for support. I would not trust this rack for anything over 100 lbs

We have Rogue plates and we can only fit one row on each side. We purchased a gently used one and it is in nearly perfect condition. Would recommend for anyone looking for a plate holder with limited space.

This rack is perfect! It has a small footprint so it sits in a corner of my office. No need to take up an entire other room or even a whole other wall. Holds my curl bar and all my plates compact amp; where I see it every day and lift. Love it!

Inexpensive and takes up less room than my other plate rack. Easy to build and sturdy so far. I wouldn't consider it a primary plate rack but it is an excellent additional plate rack.

Olympic plates do not fit. Cap must not have any engineers. Any dub with a tape measure could figure out that the pegs are not spaced far enough apart to fit Olympic plates. In all fairness the lower pegs fit but the top half of the rack is unusable. I'm just going to have a friend fabricate a REAL rack and to heck with Cap.
