I was probably about nine years old when Big Mama taught me how to make a roux and I've been cooking ever since. I say this to tell you I Can make a gumbo without this but I don't. This is just too fast and easy, even faster if you have an instant pot and it is down right delicious! It's a favorite at church and work potlucks and I'm often asked (told) to Bring Your Gumbo! and I'm happy to do it... Little effort, Big results... That works for me every time!

Product arrived exactly as described. The next weekend the Little Lady went to cook'n up a delicious gumbo with shrimp and fish. I baked up a double mix of sweet cornbread and we had us a MEAL! Don't hesitate, get your order in and enjoy a Louisianna delight...

I have tried to make the authentic gumbo and it never turned out right. This is the closet I have gotten to genuine tasting gumbo. Instructions are super easy and I love that they have seafood instructions and non seafood cooking instructions.
