The fuse replaced the broken one and now it works. Check rating on the old fuse to match.

In some cases, an out-of-range fuse isn't as critical, as it will blow if there is an overload. For expensive radios I prefer a known manufacturer, or one that appears to have been made with some quality control. I use these in linear power supplies so that in the event the crowbar circuit clamps, the fuse will blow. An off-spec fuse may exceed the amperage rating recommended and not allow the crowbar to do its job correctly. I have had good luck with these fuses, they work when they are supposed to.
