Works , it seems to keep/increase temperature by about 10 degrees compared to no-cover.I have small fountain pool connected to main pool, covering the main pool alone shows difference of about 10degrees between them.

Difficult to keep flat when rolling up the solar blanket, due to the thick flat seam in the middle of the blanket, which reduces its flexibility. While rolling up the blanket on the reel, the middle flat seam easily bunches up. Will see if this blanket holds up. Easy to trim in order to fit to the pool's shape. Does its job to reduce heat loss, due to evaporation, when the pool is not in use. I use this solar blanket with a solar blanket reel. Its easy to roll off and roll on with the reel. The reel makes it a one person operation. Only 10 mins in each direction. Roll on in the morning and roll off the reel in the evening.

This cover is easy to install with a reel. My gas usage has dropped 70. For daily use, we like to keep the pool at 86F in Las Vegas winter at 50F. Without the cover, the pool dropped down to 70F each night without heat. Now it only drops to 82F.It has held up for the few months we have used it.We use a reel to uncover only when swimming. That worked well.

first year so far so good ! easy to reel and unreel warms and keeps the pool nice even in chilly Michigan winters. Not tears or bubbles popped with an entire seasons use. I know these only last a few years, but I am happy with the results of this sized so far

We've tried a few covers over the years, and this is definitely one of the better ones. It's a great weight - heavy enough but not too heavy it'll be tough to remove. This is the first time I've used a clear one (versus blue) and it seems to still attract the heat from the sun and insulate the pool. I'd buy it again.

My electric bill for using my Hayward heat pump on my pool this 2022 autumn season in NY is going to be lower than last year because I have this solar blanket on my 16 x30 ft pool. I AM SWIMMING OUTDOORS IN NOVEMBER when I could never do this before!! Of course, the heat pump is only running from 8am to 10pm, in temperatures higher than 50, bc this fall is very mild so far. The pump is set at 89 and the pool stays at 89 degrees day and night. I am so THRILLED with this purchase which was delivered within two days of ordering it at a great price. I am pleased with the performance of my 14 mil clear (not blue) pool blanket. I HIGHLY recommend getting no less than 14 mil. Very Important-Take precautions with children and pets while the cover is on.

I purchased this on 20 March 2022. It has been deteriorating since mid August, and now on 26 September 2022 it is leaving pieces in the pool and the bubbles have cracked open and the plastic is shredding on its own. Very mild Southern California weather without excessive rolling and unrolling, very gently use with professional pool service. At two per year minimum, that's $436. Far more than the energy savings of heater or evaporation. This product is falsely advertised and will cost you.

has only held up for 1 1/2 yrs not the 6-year manufacturer warranty. purchased November 2016. It is 34;shedding34; plastic and starting to fall apart. I certainly didn't expect 6 yrs but was hoping for 2!

A little disappointed I???ve had this on for a week and it???s been sunny all week pool temp has not increased. I previously had a smaller version of this had the 12x24 and this time got the 14x28 since they seem to shrink in the sun. Since they only last about a year I think next year I will get the blue or gray one instead of clear. The reason for the 3 stars is that it does help to keep leaves or any debris out plus helps with water evaporation just wish it would help warm the pool. I???ve had many other solar blankets and this seems to work the least as far as heat wise.

Last year we purchase a blue pool cover and it worked fantastic.. in our Florida back yard there were days it would heat the pool up to over 100 degrees and we would have to take the cover off for a few days to let it cool down. That cover started to come apart though as we were not rolling it up properly. This year we decided to buy another cover and opted for the clear cover here as it was noted that it worked better because there was no color. I am doubting that claim now as we have been using this cover daily for several months now and the water has not been warmed nearly as much as the blue cover. We have even had a drought this year with lots of sunshine and we have yet to see the pool get much over 80 degrees. We will continue to use to throughout the summer, but if I dont see better performance I will be shopping for a replacement blue cover by end of year.

Works decently well. Will hold heat from sun, but won't act as a heater. But, will warm the pool from hot days and hold in heat. MOST! importantly, my small dog walked out on it, on the edge, (major freakout) and it held firm for Her, so I could get her out. In NO WAY POSSIBLE am I saying the solar sheet is strong enough to hold a small dog. I'm just saying it could have been worse. A large dog may not have had as good of luck.
