I was always skeptical of phosphorus removers and had tried the Leslie's product but was underwhelmed. After a few years of fighting algae, I decided to try again with great results. Once I brought my phosphorus level down from about 5000, I've been adding a couple ounces every couple of weeks and it's now staying below 500. But the amazing thing is that when the chlorine level drops, no algae appears. I've been algae free for several months now despite not doing a great job of maintaining my chlorine levels. During the summer months, the pool temp is in the mid to upper 80's, so I burn thru chlorine fast and it's hard to maintain, but since I started using SeaKlear, I have a great buffer when chlorine levels tank mid-week without worrying about algae. And it's much cheaper by the gallon than by the quart.

It's cheaper buying the big bottle but there are no marking for ounces so if you have an empty small bottle marked up in ounces, fill it up with the big bottle. My pool is very clear, but I don't know if it's because of this product because I've always used it.

Cleared up the pool in 3 days. Crystal clear! Other products did much worse in more than a week!
