I was very pleased to get this skirt. Its very full and not see though at all. I'm 5'4 and its about the right length although I might have to roll it up just a little bit under my belt do to the layers. Mine is the red and the color looks like the picture. The waistband is covered and doesn't cut into my skin.

This skirt looked and felt great but I noticed at the very bottom this hard plastic string started coming out ands would poke me. I intended to use this in a performance and don't think I will again since the material wouldn't hold up. Disappointed

the fabric is nice, thoughtful stitching.each layer has a thin cord of plastic sewn strategically into the hem so as to create a natural ruffle look.in the right lighting (especially sunlight) it has a lovely sheen.I primarily use this as a petticoat, and then sometimes I add it to a classic petticoat for a very FULL look while still looking frilly and fluffy.I complained about shipping costs $29 (advertises free shipping), they gave me $10 back to make up for the ridiculous overcharging for shipping, then I just got a notice the other day to improve my rating (which I had already done), so now I am updating the review to show added displeasure with having to deal with this unprofessional company.

Beaded area around the waist is NOT included. I did not see where it states that it was a separate piece. This is only the ruffle skirt. Defeated the purpose for me.

For the price, the skirt is interesting to look at. But, due to its construction, it slips off the waist very easily. The elastic, I feel, should have been thicker so it could hold onto the body better. I'm constantly pulling the skirt up. The layers are also very oddly angled. It's quite pretty to look at on the hanger, but once on the body, you can see that the tiers were cut un-even. Sometimes I'll step on the skirt with one foot, while my ankle is showing on the other foot because of the un-even layers.I feel bad about writing this review because I love BellyLady's hip scarves. Just not at all impressed by this skirt.

Didn't look anything like the photo and kind of deceiving with the belt in photo, just a plain skirt that's all.
