I store drinking water in those blue and white 5 gallon jugs and always had trouble woth leaks. This is the perfect fit for the lids, and can tighten lids even if it has a valve on it

After a lot of searching I finally happened upon the single solitary product which conforms to the small cap on a 5 gallon detergent bucket. For those in food service, you might see this for your 3-sink with an auto-ratio water-detergent button on the wall by ecolabs or a similar solution. The small cap gives access to the input tube for the automatic dilution of the soap with your water line. If you are seeking a much simpler way to open this small cap, instead of using a pipe wrench or cutting it off, this is the product for you! It fits the cap perfectly, has a bit of a bend to avoid the edge of the bucket and makes removing the cap easy.

I've purchased about 20 of these wrenches because of their light weight and expense. Unfortunately they keep breaking at the handle. Full disclosure we are using these in production when we fill our Stackers, but they usually last about 2 weeks until they break. I'd prefer stronger, but will deal with the continuous purchases because of the light weight style that is better for the guys filling and tightening.

This paint bucket wrench is just a little larger than all the 5 gallon paint buckets I have purchased from Lowes or Home Depot over the last 5 years. You can get it to work if you push down on it as you rotate the wrench. It can then catch on some of the raised groves and open the bucket if it is not to clogged with old paint. It mostly works but I will probably buy one of the metal wrench from the local hardware store when they are back in stock.

Not sure why I didn't get this earlier, I guess because these wrenches seem pricey for something made of plastic. At least this one is a heavy duty plastic and weighty. Anyway, it sure beats killing my hands or damaging the caps trying to use whatever improper tool I could find to unscrew the 5 gallon chlorine jug caps every Spring when I open the pool. haha

At my work we deal with Products that come in these Big 5 gallon buckets, but the screw Lids are so hard to get off. We usually had to get a big adjustable pipe wrench and fight to get them off. Turns out they make this really awesome tool that will do the job for you much easier than a wrench. I bought it and brought it to work, and life is so much easier. Frankly the fault lies with my company, for not having bought this for us, but it is inexpensive and I'm glad to have done my part to help.
