Product Description
Also called Navy Beans, these beans are used to make Boston baked beans and minestrone soups. May be served on steamed rice or your favorite grain.

For 2 cups of beans add 10 cups of hot water. Boil 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from heat, cover and set aside for one hour, and up to four hours or more. Discard the soak water. For simple boiled beans, place the soaked, rinsed and drained beans in a large saucepan with fresh hot water. Water should come to about one inch above beans. For 2 cups of dry beans, add a tablespoon cooking oil to reduce foaming and boil-overs; olive oil, butter can also can be used for more distinctive flavors. Boil beans for 10 minutes, then simmer 1 to 2 hours.
