I don't wash my frying pan or wok. I simply wipe them off with these paper towels and I'm very happy with the results. I found no powdery substance or residue left behind like other paper towels. Of course, any paper towel that's raked across an unfinished cast-iron surface will flake off. Therefore, I use HexClad pans which have the benefits of cast iron and a slightly non-stick surface, so wiping it out with these towels works perfectly. But the real benefit of these Azure paper towels is the same as the cost of a big box store like Costco with the healthy benefit of unbleached (and unstarched) of bamboo. Plus, the land used to grow trees for paper (which can take up to 40 years) can now be used to grow food. I found my paper towel of the future, thank you Azure!
