a bit smaller than I would like as packages don't fit well, so be sure to check the size.. also, when it's not locked, you cant close it completely as the latch blocks the door.

I built it into a 3 foot square 6 foot high clinker brick column curbside at my residence. The column I built represents a bit of work to say the least so I wanted something durable that would be long lasting. This is it. I simply left a recess in the rear of the column to access the swinging door with a half inch protrusion above the opening to act as a drip screed. The mailbox is well built and I know it will last for decades, so I am pleased. The key system to open the doors is more like a bike lock, and I know of no way to have it reproduced. They send 2 keys, so I for one will keep track of them. If I loose one, I will then change out the lock while I still have a key to open it. That mistake would be on me, not the mailbox. This lock would not be fun to drill out, which I also like about it. I give it a 10 out of 10 as the mail shaft really is adjustable and the powder coating on mine is top notch.

The company instead is telling me this is the homeowners problem, not our problem. This is designed for dropping off a key. Just tell your mailman to drop off envelope one at a time!!!!!!

Solidly built. Outside piece anchors nicely. The inside piece needs a flange resizing to work better with gypsum board. I could only use the bottom holes. Otherwise it is solidly anchored. Remember that this is not a weather tight product. In a cold climate, the metal construction through the wall can cause drafts and condensation at the interior. Best to use under cover in a temperate climate or in a vestibule. Be sure to keep valuables out of the line of sight through the slot.

The product itself is very good, very durable, and well made, but, it is unforgiving in measurements. Make sure your contractor has thoroughly worked out the logistics.

I installed this item yesterday in a house. The product came with no instructions to help with install. This item requires cutting a hole outside on the wall and another inside hole bu at a different height than outside since the product is at an angle. I had hoped for asimple method to know where the holes were to be cut but no help there. I cut one hole and used a marker to mark oposite side and drilled a hole at one mark to know where to cut and it did work but I had to enlarge the hole a bit to get items to fit together correctly. I could not find a best method on YouTube either but I made it work anyway and fits just fine. I like it but should have a best method instructions on how and where to cut with a template to help and avoid a mess up. Otherwise product is great.

I had this installed ( by my brother ) so not sure how easy it would have been if I had done it but he had no problem. It is peace of mind for me since I'm not home every day and was having to have someone check my mail daily. This is perfect! Just slide my mail in and I have a basket sitting on the inside that it drops in to. Wish I had something like this only big enough for packages.
