I almost always use CTS pots! There are a few occasions when I don't, and that is simply because the cavity won't let me use full sized pots...and that is a very rare occasion! These just work!

Changed 4 pots on a Gibson 335 with these. A 335. So I had to fish everything through the F hole in the guitar. It's nerve wracking and time consuming. After installation, everything functioned perfectly and sounded great.... ... Until I put my tone knobs on. 3 out of 4 pots were ruined in the process. 1 of the 3 came apart completely when the casing tabs gave way. I've changed pots on many guitars over the years, but it has been awhile since the last time. I can't say if the AOT build is any different than any other similarly spec'd CTS pot or if more recent CTS pots use a softer case, but I can say that in this instance the casing metal was softer than it used to be. I feel like screaming. Everything was exactly as I'd wanted it to be and now I have to repeat that whole process. Everything else about the pots was exactly as it should have been. If it had been any other guitar I could have supported the cases as the knobs went on. It's just not that simple with a semi-hollow guitar. Meh.

Used these for my most recent strat wiring harness. They took all the abuse from my poor soldering skills and are no worse for the wear. I am deeply impressed with the stoutness and quality of these pots. Also these are close to the same price for 4 as you would pay for 2, so it's nice to have a few extras In case one of my other guitars needs new ones.

Good pots. Use a lot when upgrading electronics on guitars

Someone already replaced the pickups in my guitar with P-90s but they left the original junky electronics. These pots, plus a big filter cap, made for a very nice upgrade. I did have to drill out my metric guitar holes to imperial size but it was very worth it as there are not many quality metric pots available anyways.

Crappy quality. Two broke and the other two the pots shaft have play vertically. Better you buy from Guitar Center and the price is almost the same with better quality pots.

I see a lot of comlaints from people that very obviously have no idea what they are doing.CTS are top quality, and the only ones I buy whenever possible.TAOT is just about the only seller I buy from. You gotta know what you are ordering, and if you order wrong, of break it putting a knob on, that is your fault. Not the seller's fault. There are metric knobs. There are larger, standardized knobs. Some have fine splines. Some have fewer splines. Some knobs require a solid shaft because they have a set screw. If you had someone else install these, and they failed, that is not this seller's fault.I fix guitars all the time, and have reworked so many butcher jobs, I lost count. If you don't know what you are doing, let a pro do the job.
