Causes: Children & Youth, Children & Youth Services, Christianity, Human Services, Religion, Religion-Related, Residential Care & Adult Day Programs
Mission: Arms of Love provides full-time, long-term residential care for children who have been permanently separated from their parents due to a combination of death, abandonment or abuse. Children must be homeless, or at imminent risk of becoming homeless, to qualify for our program. Arms of Love Children's Homes are based on a family model where houseparents care for a group of 8-12 children with the assistance of professional and non-professional staff.
Target demographics: Abused, abandoned and needy children otherwise vulnerable to trafficking and exploitation
Direct beneficiaries per year: We care for over 70 abandoned children and distribute over 75,000 meals
Geographic areas served: Nicaragua and The Philippines
Programs: In our residential program we provide long-term, comprehensive care in a family environment for abandoned children, meeting all their needs including medical, psychological, and even tuition for school. We also provide food and supplemental educational lessons to additional needy kids in our neighborhoods through our community care programs.
