Love this product, great value.

This works but isn't my favorite, as you need to use more than the more concentrated versions. I would recommend this for a larger tank.

I had a problem with my nitrate nitrite being elevated even after water changes. Added required dosage for 3 days and levels are perfect. Strongly recommend.

Bought it to make tap water safe for amphibian. Struggled with cloudy water and couldn't get plants to thrive. Once I started adding water with this, everything cleared up and got better. I'm incredibly satisfied with this product. I do wish it was easier to measure out for smaller quantities of water; I only need a couple gallons at a time but it's really meant for 10 at a time.

Product works as intended! Believe conditioner dosing is 1ml per 10 gal water. I have a 3 gal tank (2.5 gal. after substrate, plants, and ornaments) and I use a medicine dosing syringe at .25 ml to treat my tank water. I pretreat my tap water and store it in gallon jugs and do about .25 ml per gallon (can't really use too much of this stuff, only too little, any thing less than that doesn't seem like I'm adding any at all) which would be bad! After a month, fish and plants have been fine.You can use a higher dose of the Aqua Essentials to detoxify ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates. Dosage for that is 5ml per 10 gal, so for my 3 gallon, amounted to about 1.75 ml. This definitely came in handy as I was a little impatient to add my betta to his new tank before it was cycled. Put him in after about 2 weeks and spent the next 4 weeks making tri-weekly 25 water changes and adding this stuff to detoxify ammonia and nitrites at every change. But hey! He made it, tank is cycled now, and bottom line, this stuff works and as the name states, really was essential! I only use it for conditioning my tap water now. I love all of API's products and all have worked great!
