API Fin and Body Cure is a highly effective treatment for internal and external bacterial disease in fish, including fin and tail rot, bacterial gill disease, hemorrhagic septicemia, open red sores, and body slime and eye cloud. For freshwater aquarium use only.
Treats internal and external bacterial fish disease
Effective against fin and tail rot, gill disease, open red sores and more common infections
For freshwater aquariums only
Dosage: One 250 mg packet treats 10 gallons.
Directions: For best results, remove activated carbon or filter cartridge from filter and continue aeration. For each 10 gallons (38L) of water, empty one packet directly into aquarium. Repeat dose after 24 hours. Wait another 24 hours, then change 25% of the aquarium water. Repeat this treatment a second time, for a total of 4 doses. Then make a final 25% water change and add fresh activated carbon or replace filter cartridge. Treatment may be repeated, if necessary. One 10 Count package treats up to 100 gallons. Four doses required for full course of treatment.

My two angelfish had red on or at the base of their fins. After using this and of course making sure the water was balanced properly they are doing great!

We used this on our 29gal freshwater tank and results were almost immediate. The white of their fin rot disappeared so quickly! I keep this on hand to help our fishies recover immediately. Magical stuff.

I use fine and body cure as a preventative (in conjunction with API General Cure) in the quarantine tank when receiving new fish or when I see one of my fishes tail starting to change color and I'm not sure if its fin rot or not. I typically move the fish to a separate quarantine tank when treating but I have used it in community tanks with no ill effects on my various fish and invertebrates.
