Works well with a Wen 4212T drill press and a Wen DPA167H JT33 keyless chuck using the stock arbor the drill press came with.

I ordered these Sunday afternoon and they arrived before noon Monday! They're perfect for removing my Jacobs 33 chucks from my drill presses. Tip: Use a clamp the drive the two wedges together. It's much more effective than trying to beat on them.

I used this wedge set to remove a WEN keyless chuck from a new WEN 4212T drill press. With just a few taps, the chuck released from the spindle. My opinion is that the wedge set is pretty expensive for what it is but it did get the job done. I suppose this is a specialty tool that is not mass produced/sold and that may account for the costs.

I purchased this to change the drill head of WEN 4212T drill press. Some of the reviews said this was too big for JT33, some said it worked for them. The wedge opens about 0.72 and the exposed portion of the JT33 is about 0.62. For it to pull anything out from the quill, it needs to: 1. Open wider than the exposed JT33 (0.62 in this case), 2. Can't open wider than the drill head or the quill (more than 1 in this case), 3. Thin enough to fit in between the drill head and the quill and thick enough to separate them when wedged. It satisfied all 3 conditions but I wasn't sure if it will separate the drill head from the arbor or the arbor from the quill. It did separate the drill head from the arbor, which was what I wanted. If it pull the drill head and the arbor out together, then I think it won't work for separating the drill head from the JT33 2MT (0.7 dia) arbor. Maybe that is why the reviews are not consistent?

Almost too easy. I didn't use a hammer or mallet for this. Instead I used a clamp and as I slowly tightened the clamp against the wedges the chuck simply dropped into a small box filled with rags to cushion the fall. Made me feel like I cheated or something. This worked so well I wanted to do it again..
