This is great for a aerospace welder who needs to hold small stainless amp; nickel sheet metal parts in place to weld. I work with one from time to time on small intricate parts that need to be held in position so I can weld accordingly to specific tolerances.

I rotated / flip this small vises to get 90 degrees angle on my piece I drill. But the tool was painted from all sides! I had to mill it from every side to remove paint and get good 90 degrees reference surfaces.

Gee, I hate to see people compare this product to a vise that costs 10 times more. This is a mass-produced vise that may be expected to have a few quality-control issues, but in general, it does the job just fine. If it were a $500 vise, I'd give it one star. But for my needs, it's a five-star vise. The finish is black paint, and I wish they had not painted the screw threads. But it turns smoothly, stays square, and grips small parts very tightly. I used it to hang-on to a small piece of steel that I could not safely hold in my hand. I drilled two 1/8" holes and the vise did a great job. I like it.

This is great for a aerospace welder who needs to hold small stainless amp; nickel sheet metal parts in place to weld. I work with one from time to time on small intricate parts that need to be held in position so I can weld accordingly to specific tolerances.
