these 28" tongs are made of solid round stock. not pipe !!! was moveing 35ft plus electric poles and the tongs held up and got the job done, very pleased with these tongs it was a good test to see how well they worked. logging for fire wood next, will be dragging dropped trees out of woods then use the tongs to setup and cut short logs for the wood splitter then stack up split wood to made cords for winter.looks like these tongs are built to last and have good welds with on stress cracking anyware that i can see after useing all day. the nylock nuts is a great feature along with a good grade bolts used.I got the set with the round ring they works better for my use. well built good tool !!!

Heavy duty but manageable, especially like that I can lift it from the bottom of the top swivel and it only rotates in one direction for easier one person use while on the tractor to snag the logs.

Not really the tools fault, but before committing to using this, know your lifting capability first. And equally important, stand back while using as it tends to slip off on heavier loads
