I gave it 3 stars for quality fabric and room. The downside, and something I personally care about, is the length of the strap. It's long enough if you're a shorter person. However, as a tallish person, 6', this hits about shoulder bag length, just below my ribcage. I like my messenger bags to hit mid hip. Quite annoyed, I was. But, such is life, this only cost 24 dollars, so I said whatever and cutthe strap and sewed it to the length it would be comfortable. Sending stuff back is a pain, and I'm resourceful. Not for a tall person who likes their bags at the hip.

This is a great bag - simple, durable, and well made. However, the velcro closure system is at odds with the rest of the bag, and seems like a compromise or afterthought. This bag would benefit from a more secure close system, such as quick-release plastic buckles. Unfortunately, there's no straps or anything by which to add these buckles myself - it would require considerable modification by a tailor.

My husband did love this, until one of the clips broke on the first day of use.(You get what you pay for) He's still able to use it, so he didn't complain too much. Smelled when we first got it, so you have to air it out for a few days before using.

I love the design of this bag, useful pockets, looks great, but it's SO heavy!This bag by itself weighs as much as anything I could put in it.So I guess it's super durable, just not for me.

I carry this bag EVERYWHERE I go and I use the two front pockets for my sketchbooks and I keep my pencil bags in here too. However, I really wish the bag wasn't so... collapsible? It's pretty flimsy and the velcro holding the bag closed isn't very strong either.

This bag is perfect. Its a perfect size, weight, and is very durable. The strap is definitely rothco's since they love their metal wire strap tighteners, kinda hard to adjust with it on quickly, but that doesn't affect the rating at all. The only reason I made it 3 stars is because people always look for the middle ratings due to honesty. Nothing wrong with this bag if you are looking for a tough, yet floppy enough to be comfortable, bag that will last forever and hold a lot. Most of the 5star reviews give better descriptions of the bag for those looking for it, and as for pros/cons, its nothing but pros.

I order olive green and ended up witha gray one with a black star but it stillServes it's purpose

The interior is just a large empty space, no dividers. There is a wallet-sized zippered pocket bag on the interior. No pockets in the flap, or on the back of the bag. It's very large.
