This tool is easy to use and makes valve seal replacement a breeze. Instructions are included, but an Internet search will reveal videos for visual learners. I used the tool in conjunction with a trick to change valve seals with the cylinder head attached. The tool requires a swift and forceful strike to remove and install keepers. A brass hammer or a palm strike was all I needed to perform the job.

Amazing! Why is this not a widespread product! If anyone does any engine overhaul on a regular basis and does not have this tool they are a fool.

TOOL MAKES IT VERY EASY TO REMOVE THE KEEPERS FROM THE VALVE AND RETAINER. WOULD BE NICE IF TOOL WOULD WORK ON DIFFERENT SIZES OF VALVES.

if you ever at anytime need to change your valves and they have keepers you need this tool. it makes removing/installing SUPER easy. Plus the strong magnet on it makes sure the keepers don't go flying across the room. for the same money you can by the other c-clamp style one from a box store, which doesn't work well on imports like Honda. This works great on Honda's.

Removal was actually fun! Installation was a little bit tricky. Have to depress spring and go side to side so the keepers can jump into place on the valve stem when the retainer is best centered on the spring while depressed. Works good, it's a cool tool. Highly recommend this tool!

So easy to remove valve retaining clip with these. Not even sure why the C clamp style is even sold anymore. This one is super easy, super fast, and includes a magnet inside so the clip doesn't get lost.

Worked perfectly on a 1993 Mazda Miata. You can use this with the head on or off the engine. On the Miata, I used it with the head off, and didn't even need to use a hammer, just throw your body weight over the tool and press down and ease it back up PRESTO. Use with a balled up rag under that set of valves you are working on. Did this for both removing and installing the valve keepers. I used the small handle out of the kit. HIGHLY RECOMMEND to clean tools before using, some small aluminum shavings present could contaminant head/valve train. HIGHLY RECOMMEND to wrap the tool in electrical tape (or something similar) prior to using the tool to keep from scratching/marring the surface where your valve lifters sit in the head.
