The face of the keeper retainer end can get boogered up if you're using a mallet to remove valve keepers and the resulting wear can make fitting the black keeper installer into the body a little difficult. This type of tool is a big improvement over the old spring-compressor method. Once you get the hang of it you can zip through a set of valves in a few minutes.

Do not strike with hammer too hard per instructions as it breaks the inner magnet. Returned.
