I have bought these a few times now and still love this brand. If you are new to cooking your own beans there are instructions on the back. The price and quality is perfect. Being a vegetarian this is a lifesaver for me because they are so versatile and affordable.

Chickpeas are chickpeas, right? Apparently not. I eat a lot of chickpea salads and hummus during warmer months and simply didn't want to buy a bunch of little bags of the Mexican or SprawlMart brand, so I bought these. Just had my first salad and it was noticeably different. The flavour is richer; like what I'd imagine they taste like fresh. So they're on my pantry list now.

If you follow the cooking directions these are wonderful. They should be soaked overnight then cooked just about an hour. Do not use salt while cooking. Take a bite out of one to check if they're done. Don't overcook. These are awesome!

I have been buying these for several years. This year, there are more disfigured beans, still few split. They have good shelf life and cook well even after storage.It would be helpful to know something about the culture conditions: pesticides and herbicides used and in what amounts?
