The filter grid system seems to have a weak point which is this top manifold assembly part. I replaced the entire system 2 years ago and when I went to clean the filter this year to prepare for swimming season I found this part had cracked (again). Rather than replace the system at over $400 I found this part. Replacement was very easy. There is a plastic wing nut under the notched pipe where the filter for the tube fits. Unscrew the wing nut and carefully pull the manifold off and replace. Make sure the filter grids all fit back into the various slots as they should because they will loosen. Also make sure you note that the manifold has "short grid" written on top and the shortest grid should go under that section. Pop the wing nut back on and place the notched pipe back on the top and you are good to go. Hopefully I don't have to replace this again next year, but based on reviews I might.
