I use this tool for both scraping and stirring. It is sturdy enough to replace a wooden spoon and easier to clean. My go-to tool often enough that I ended up purchasing a second so I can multitask!

So I've owned a bunch of these, and always seem to be finding new uses for them. The shape can be used for more things than you might expect, and I've used mine for everything from 'unsticking things stuck in a jar' to frosting a cake. My only minor complaint is that the clear outer silicone that they're made out of can be stained if you leave it covered in anything bright for too long. This is probably true of all silicone, but more obvious on these since they are clear. I've stained mine with curry, pumpkin, etc. and though they fade back to a normal-ish color eventually they're never quite perfect again. Still, it's a minor cosmetic issue that doesn't detract in any way from their brilliant ability to unstick stubborn things from jars. Just sayin' xD

I've gone through 3 of these (in purple) over the last 15 years or so, and love to give them as gifts too. I am baking bread, rolls, cookies or cakes almost every day , and I couldn't live without this spatula. It's sturdy enough to fold ingredients into the stiffest batter, both ends provide the perfect choice for scraping or spreading, and the grip is comfortable even with these "arthritically sculptured" hands. It washes up very nicely with hot soapy water. You won't regret this purchase.

I have had this spatula in red for quite some time. My husband washed it and put it in the knife drawer, putting a slice near the tip of it, so I bought two more. I love it and as long as you wash it by hand and avoid the dishwasher, it will last a lifetime. Even if they claim it's dishwasher safe, it will degrade it over time. I use mine almost exclusively even though I have many styles. I hope they still make them should I ever need more. I believe 2 should last the rest of my lifetime.
