I was able to retrieve a bolt from vehicle unit body, but it’s not quite strong (imo) a magnet to pick up something like a socket if there are bends one has to pull around.

This little tool is amazing! The magnet is small enough to fit into very tight spaces. I dropped a screw that ended up under the bottom timing pulley, under the belt, in the abyss. After trying every magnet and wire trick I could think up, I gave up and ordered the mighty worm. I could have saved myself hours of frustration if I only had bought it sooner. The magnet is the perfect amount of magnetism. It did not get stuck to any of the metal on the way down to the abyss. The wire was stiff enough to worm(hum, maybe that’s why the name) it’s way to the bottom without folding up and getting stuck. Seriously, it took 30 seconds to retrieve the bolt that had me ready to blow up the car.Buy it now before you need it. Or if you need it, just get it. So much better than any other magnet, and I tried a bunch of them.
