Tresemme Moisture Rich Luxurious Moisture Shampoo, 28 Fluid Ounce, 6 per case, Price/Case

I just don't like the feel of this shampoo and I'm going to give it to a shelter. I had forgotten that I used it before years ago and had the same feeling about it. I won't repeat it.

Weird scent within the box!! Kinda weird

Causing me serious dandruff. I would avoid this product if your have an average to dry scalp.

Scent: 1 star ----- I found this to have an overwhelming fragrance which was overpowering enough in the shower, but then I noticed the scent all day long wafting from my dry hair and it gave me something of a headache by the end of the day. I am sensitive to artificial scents in general, yet my regular shampoo for the last couple of years has been an ordinary, even-less-expensive drugstore brand that is also artificially scented, but its smell is about 25 as strong as this one is. The scent of this is just way too strong for me. Softness: 3 stars Body: 3 stars Manageability after the first couple of hours: 1 star ------ In the first couple of hours after I first used this shampoo and its companion conditioner, my hair felt soft-ish (though maybe a little less soft than it does after I use my usual shampoo), and it definitely had more body than my hair does after I use my usual shampoo. ...After a couple of hours, though, my hair developed a lot of static cling and even when I was sitting still, it was floating around in the air, clinging to my clothes, clinging to the sides of my face, even grabbing onto my neck and working itself under my shirt, which simply has never happened with my usual shampoo. It was driving me crazy. I was in the same environments as I usually am - nothing had changed from prior days in terms of the weather, indoor humidity level, etc. Indeed, I use a humidifier in my house, and the humidity level was fine at 45. (My hair reacts like this to shampoos that have quite a bit of 34;cones34;, which initially seem to be smoothing to my hair right after shampooing, but quickly dry out my hair strands and make them 34;flyaway34; and increasingly unmanageable. I'm not saying that silicones are why the Tresemme did this to my hair -- it might have been a different ingredient.) Color/tone/(not sure of the best word to use): 4 stars ----- My hair also had a somewhat different color after using this even just one time -- it was like this shampoo brought out some natural color variations in the different strands that my normal shampoo doesn't. The color was a bit livened, with more depth and highlights. (The shoulder-length hair I have at the present time has never been colored or otherwise chemically processed; I very rarely use a hairdryer or other hair tools on it.) I certainly didn't expect this effect from trying another ordinary, drugstore shampoo. However, instead of the Tresemme shampoo having some great natural-color-enhancing effect that no other reviewers seem to have mentioned and which the manufacturer doesn't claim for it, probably the shampoo I have used for the last couple of years is more dulling than most, and I just never realized! All in all, I must give this shampoo a 2 star rating for my hair. However, it seems to work well for many people, and it's worth giving it a try. --- The shampoo I have normally used in the last few years is Suave Deep Moisture (widely available, quite cheap) -- before that, I used a salon brand, Redken All-Soft, for many years, but when Redken switched from using avocado oil in it to a different kind of oil, the All-Soft became terrible for my hair (and there were many customer complaints about the new formula on the manufacturer's website and all over the internet) so I was forced to look for something else -- I tried many, many, many shampoo lines then, cheap to expensive, kid's lines to exclusive salon lines -- and I settled on the Suave Deep Moisture as the least-worst for my particular hair. Suave seems to tweak the basic formula of it every once in a while (not making it better, just a tiny bit different), they sometimes change the name of the 34;compare to34; fancy brand that they claim on the bottle to be the luxury shampoo product it supposedly compares to, and they certainly alter the fragrance of it from time to time -- sometimes it's worse than others, and the last bottle I bought last week has such a strong, unattractive scent, that I picked up the Tresemme Moisture Rich at the store this week, just to give it a try. I am quite sure I tried the Tresemme Moisture Rich a few years ago and didn't like it as much as the Suave Deep Moisture, but one's hair can change over time, and shampoo formulas change over time, so I thought I'd see how it worked for me now. Sadly, it still doesn't work for me.

Smells nice and does the job to wash hair, will not be repurchasing as it is not a cruelty free product.

You get what you pay for--its a big bottle so theres value in that, but it's not great for your hair. I felt like my hair would get even dryer when I used it, and I was glad to get to the end of the bottle to pick something else. Might be better for people with shorter hair, but for my longer locks, it did no good.
