Short story, my 571-2 taco zone valve end switch stopped working, so for the $12 difference in price of solenoid or complete valve, I bought this. Switched power heads, but end switch will not work with new power head; but put new power head back on new body and the end switch works ? So this seems to mean there is always a chance you cannot just replace a power head and the end switch will work ? For information, the end switch is only connected to one side of 24 vac terminal 3, for wire connection to cheapen out on a 4 th terminal. so short of shorting out to ground the end switch, it will operate independently. Probably will go back to a Honeywell zone valve in future. UPDATED; tried again and the end switch started working ? Thinking oxidize contacts sitting in stock .

so it performed as expected My plumber told me when he installed the system that is extremely rare that the valves go bad but just in case I ordered a complete valve and head My plumber was right it was the head so I was able to replace it in about 10 minutes I have a spare valve the bottom part) if anyone needs one
