These are some nice bridge pins. People talk about these things changing the sound in their instrument, and I could say maybe I noticed perhaps a tiny bit more sustain after installing them, but could be just in my mind. I wasn't after any 'sound enhancements', just wanted pins that weren't all plastic-y, and with a mother-of-pearl dot. I use Graph Tech nuts and saddles, so might as well use their bridge pins. These fit the Taylor GSMini perfectly, however, the one for the lower E string was sitting a little high, so I filed the grove in the pin some to better accommodate the string (Elixir 13-56) and after doing that it was nice and even with the rest.

Improved the sound on my Gibson J-45

Rarely has a swap like this made such a noticeable change in tone. Very impressed. The only downside was that I had to sand quite a bit (very easy to do). I wish they made these in a color closer to antique bone but I am stoked with the sound produced. (And for the naysayers I left my old strings on so my rest wouldn't be tainted by new strings).

Pins definitely added some extra tone and sustain to my Martin. However, the pin holding the 6th (low E) string in kept pulling up under tension. Compared the new pin to the old and found that the old had a little bit of a larger trench. So I filed the inside of the pin to keep the string from pulling the pin up 1/8. There's just tot enough room for it to allow the string to slide into position and properly seat the ball without pulling up the pin. This is with a 54g string, so it's not like I was using Heavies or anything. Work great after the mod.

I am sold on Tusq. I brought my $500 acoustic, not top quality but not bottom either, to a quality shop and had them do a custom set-up with Tusq bridge and nut. Then, I replaced the plastic pins with Tusq pins. They fit perfectly the first try with no adjustment needed. My guitar now sings with perfect intonation and sustain like a $2,000 model -- I played a $2,000 model and actually preferred my own. Also, they look cool as hell on my black maple top.If you like acoustic guitar, and why are you here if you don't, then there is absolutely no reason on God's green earth not to buy these and instantly, cheaply, and drastically improve the tone of your guitar. Stop reading my review and buy them.
