We were debating on redoing a wood deck to composite for a non profit. Cost was a factor and was holding us up on doing the project. We were happy to find these clips here as they cut our cost nearly in half from in store prices. Other amazing feature is the time they saved us as we didnt have to manually gap the boards. These clips do it for you.

I am replacing my old pressure treated deck top with Trex. These things are great and I am sure they beat the heck out of screwing the board down. Out of the 800 Ive put in so far only 4 or 5 of the screws have stripped. I wish they would make a 21/2 screw that you could buy for boards you have to shim or when the screw just doesnt bite. Almost done with a 660 sq ft deck and these have been a pleasure working with.

We weren't using Trex decking ... so we were hesitant about purchasing these clips for our DYI 600 sq ft deck resurface. We used ALL the clips in this bucket and then some (purchased at big box store.) In other reviews, some had complained about breaking the screw head ... that happened to us about 3 or 4 times. We had purchased some extra stainless screws ... so we just scooted the clip ... got the broken head out ... repositioned and used the extra screw. Our previous treated wood deck had been secured with deck screws. This deck looks sooo much better with these hidden fasteners.

Lots of places sell these, including Home Depot, but this was the cheapest I could find them, $299. I needed a large quantity for a 30'x16' deck (16” on center) and one box had plenty. Worked perfectly with the decking I got at Home Depot: TimberTek coconut husk.
