Got this as a gift for my home workshop. If I had bought this, I would have sent it back. At 5’6”, this apron is too long for me and falls below my knees even with the straps adjusted to make the apron ride as high as possible. So, this really doesn’t fit anyone shorter than me and is probably better for someone 5’8” and above. This wouldn’t be a big problem except the apron is incredibly stiff - partly due to the 24 oz fabric but mostly because the apron is impregnated with a crazy amount of greenish, petroleum smelling (when heated) wax. The stiffness makes it awkward to walk or bend over. I’ve washed it twice - once on the extra hot sanitize cycle for two hours. Then I took a hot iron to it using paper towels underneath the apron and on top to absorb the melting wax. Finally, I used a heat gun to heat up the fabric and blotted away the wax when it boiled up. (Don’t try this at home!) It’s a little better but still too stiff. Next I’m going to cut a vertical slit in the bottom panel of the apron so it’s easier to walk and bend over. If it’s still too cumbersome, then I’m going to cut off the bottom panel. If you’re taller, don’t move around a lot or need to bend over, then this very sturdy apron might work for you. The quality seems good. It has a decent number of pockets. Everything stress point and attachment point is riveted. The canvas is very thick. Some people have had trouble with the straps. For me, one side of the shoulder straps would not stay in place and the buckle for the waist back constantly slipped. I discovered that the prong side of the clip had the webbing run thru upside down. Remove the webbing, turn the buckle over and then rethread the webbing through the buckle. It should work fine. I also did not like that the webbing for the shoulder straps and the waist belt were one piece. Every time you unclipped the waist belt, the shoulder strap positions would change. So, I adjusted the shoulder straps to where I wanted them and then tied the webbing from each shoulder strap into the metal waist grommets. This permanently fixed the straps in my preferred place and makes it much easier to put on/take off. With all these issues - the apron is still very sturdy. It is well sewn. Shoulder straps are comfortable when finally adjusted in place and I am sure this apron will outlast me. And at $19 - it’s a good price IF you’re willing to deals with the stiffness and heaviness.
