We inserted these into the cast aluminum oar mounts on are riveted into the gunnels of our 14-ft aluminum skiff boat. The plastic sleeves were a bit too long but my husband trimmed them down a bit with a razor knife and they fit just right. When we slide the posts of the oar rings into and out of them, these little black sleeves stay in place. Problem solved.

My boat was made sept of 1950 aluminum 14 ft love this boat its just the rite size for were I live in Wisconsin an they fit perfect in there were the oars belong
