The Sammons Preston Gait Belt is an ideal transfer aid for therapists and caregivers at home, in nursing homes, while traveling, and in clinical environments. Use to help mobilize and move patients who struggle to walk independently as they recover from injury or surgery. The gait belt provides ambulation assistance and stability necessary for a patient transfer between wheelchairs and other seats. Use the Sammons Preston Gait Belt to aid fall-risk patients in walking, transferring, or lifting.
This durable gait belt is made of a 2" wide heavy-duty webbing that can withstand pulling and pressure. Designed with a toothed metal buckle to prevent slipping and fall prevention, the Sammons Preston Gait Belt offers security to the patient, while providing the caregiver with confidence. During transfers, the lifting belt will remain sturdy and durable for ambulation of patients and will prevent the caregiver from injuries or back pain other assistive devices might give them.

When transferring, make sure the gait belt is securely fastened and that the patient cannot easily undo the belt. Remember, transfer belts may not be suitable for patients who recently had abdominal or back surgery.
