I was looking for a boonie hat, for the Summer, and this one fits the bill. It fits comfortably, helps keep some sun off of your head and neck, and gives that nice, casual vibe. The first thing I did, when I received the hat, was to give it a quick hand wash in hot water. Mostly, I just did that to help relax the brim a bit, so I could shape it better. I like the hat, and might look into getting another one in either a dessert or city camo pattern.

This is an ok boonie hat, not miliary grade or construction. I don't expect it will hold up to hard use or repeated washing, you get what you pay for, I went cheap and got cheap.

I bought this so that it's large enough to put on with a ponytail and it worked out great. Functional and nice looking. I found one at REI that I loved but it was $95. That hat was sturdier and the brim was stiff enough so that you could shape it. This hat is lighter weight and the brim is softer BUT, it's every bit as good looking and functional. I almost think the more expensive one would be too warm on a hot day. This is a good buy!

The hat was rolled up like a tight fat sausage, was very wrinkled as a result, and the brim was bent throughout.

I took this hat and a hat the same size American. Not comparable. Size chart is bogus. You would expect the Chinese to steal the correct American size chart. Disappointing. I'm a Veteran. This hat is not US military quality.

Love the hat. Keeps the sun off my face and ears. A wider brim may block more sum, but that would make me look like a moron. This hat is like the I wore 50 years ago.
