Everyone is right, the stickers are annoying. 3 peeled of easy, and for two I had to soak in water then remove.I was able to easily remove the old anode with just a breaker bar. My tank is only 3 years old, but the old anode was very short and fully encrusted with calcium/minerals. This is a nice upgrade and I hope it will make my tank last longer. I used this rod on a 50 gal State Electric tank.

As advertised and work fine however as many have noted removing the sticker is a real pain.

This is just Magnesium, so there isn't much to say about it. However, I did have a servious problem screwing it in because the thread was about 0.02" larger in diameter than what it's supposed to be. The only way I could screw it in was after having filed the thread a tiny bit. That's why I am NOT giving it 5 stars.

Good rod, but too long for me. Would not fit between the top of the water heater and the ceiling. I'll need to hack off a few inches.

This rod worked great as a replacement for my somewhat no-name 11 year old water heater. It seems these anode rods are pretty standard in sizing, so even if your water heater isn't made by Rheem, this would most likely work as long as you have the room (44") above your water heater to remove your old rod and install the new one.I'd like to echo the other complaints about the labels that were adhered to the actual rod - it took 3x longer to remove the labels and residue than to install the actual rod itself. Whoever is in charge of placing these horrible labels on the anode rod should be fired.I wish I had known about anode rod replacement years ago as mine was basically non-existent. I'm hoping to get a few more years out of the water heater thanks to this rod. I plan to check in a year or so and see how this one is holding up.Not related to the rod purchase, but if your old rods happens to look as bad as mine, don't reinstall it. I had to wait a few days for this to arrive and so I put the old one back in. When it came time to do the swap, half the old rod broke off and is now stuck inside the water heater.

What more to say. Good prices but like everybody else too many stickers and tape. I soaked the rods upside down in a bucket full of hot water and they came out with little issues. But come on still a pain.
