Grandson loves this bag. Has used it as a bookbag. It's sturdy. First one I ordered the zipper broke 1st time it was used. They replaced it and this one has been great

Absolutely love this bag! I don't typically like messenger bags, since the front flap seems to annoy me. So I used a seam ripper and removed the front flap and velcro from the front pockets. Didn't do any damage to the bag and makes it more functional for my uses. I've used this as a purse, travel bag, and laptop bag (for smaller laptops like Macbooks). When traveling, I load it up with lots of stuff. Back pocket holds a Kindle, travel documents, itineraries, maps, brochures, etc. Side pockets are capable of holding large bottles of water. Zipped front pockets hold keys, receipts, medications, tissues, and small items I need to get to quickly. The inside is large and open, so I can throw everything else in there (including small to medium sized items I've purchased). I normally put my wallet and passports inside the small zipped pocket inside the zipped main compartment (so it is safer from pickpockets or accidentally falling out when I retrieve other items). I really love that the bag holds so much stuff, yet is not stiff or bulky. The strap length is adjustable enough that I can wear it crossbody when I want to. It's also masculine enough that I can have my husband carry it if my shoulder gets tired. It also washes up very well in the washing machine. Besides the color becoming a little more distressed looking (which is a good thing), it has no signs of wear after 3 years of use.

A very suitable bag for any number of purposes. I use mine for emergency supplies in the car. A bottle water fits in the pockets on either side and from there you have adequate space to fill it up with any number of things you would consider important when you find yourself in a situation that you hoped would never happen. A good grab and go bag - one for each member of the household could be considered.

Love this bag. It's held up quite well over the past couple of years. I use it primarily for work, hauling paperwork, batteries, my laptop and other assorted odds and ends. It's been stuffed to the gills for a while with no signs of tearing.

I'm always looking for an inconspicuous, sturdy, functional, and inexpensive bag for my camera and wallet/phone/keys, etc. This bag had been mentioned on several photo blogs as a great bag (looks like what Jack Bauer on 24 uses). So I thought I'd give it a try for my next international travel trip.

Pros:
- great price
- very well made and material seems very study and will last a long time
- pockets are a good size (the side pockets even fit my 32oz. water bottle)
- like the zippered interior pocket
- like the full zipper for main compartment

Cons:
- bag is unnecessarily heavy and bulky even when empty
- flap seems too long for the bag making it cumbersome to get into bag
- metal pieces would be black to match the color of the bag better

I wanted to love this bag but just can't - its too heavy and bulky for me. It would help to have the flap be detachable (as with a piece of velcro that runs the length of the bag - that would cut down on the weight and bulk since I didn't use it (I rolled it up and stuffed it in the back outside pocket as best I could). I'm using this insert and outer bag from Tenba instead and love it -Tenba Tools BYOB/Packlite Flatpack Bundle 9, Black/Gray (636-282)- so much lighter/less bulky; should have more pockets though.

This is a great bag. It is a steal at $20. It is sturdy, washable, and has pockets in all the right places. The strap is durable, the canvas is strong, it is not water proof, but it would have to be emerged in water in order to get the things wet inside. You can ride in the rain on your bike, for example, with no problem. I love this bag, I bought 2 of them.

Looked everywhere for a stylish and strong messenger type bag without luck before I found this item. Well-made, plenty of compartments, light, it's ideal.

Only took two weeks for the stitching to tear open on the bottom. I usually carry just a notebook and a 15" laptop in the main compartment, but that's enough to wear this bag out in less than a month, apparently.

It is much larger than I expected, but it is well-made and looks as though it will hold-up well. Makes a great travel, sport, or other carrying bag. I may be using it to carry around my art supplies.

Never will I order from this company again. I recived my order on Sep 4, the Zipper was missing from this bag. Well I bought two of them. I contacted the company immeditly. on the 5 they replied on 5, I sent picture on the 5. I got a response on the 7 telling me that they were going to send me a replacement and return info. So I wait for it to come in the mail. 5 DAYS go by and now I am being told that I have to send mine back and wait for them to send me one after they recive it. So they lie. Dont buy from here..

Good size for transporting medium sized items. It's the messenger bag I actually use to move stuff around from place to place. You know, taking packages to the post office/UPS. Picking up from the same places. It's big enough to get stuff in but not so big as to be cumbersome. The wide strap also makes it comfortable to wear.

Would also be great if you wanted to carry around literature to distribute. Perhaps for political cause, a religious cause, something of that nature.

It's a great bag.

Guess I did not look at the pockets sizes correctly. To many small pockets.
