The problem with this safe is the electronic lock. Buy the model with the keyed lock instead. After a few weeks of use, my electronic lock stopped functioning. The manufacturer was less than helpful and we never got it unlocked. They blamed it on the installation and then would not warranty or replace the product. Had to uninstall this from the wall and break it open. The keyed version works great.

We'd had an ongoing and time consuming problem with collecting rents from our tenants in a 20 unit mobile home park. This Drop Box solved the problem. The only issue we found with it is that it is not rain proof. Rain poured into the box the first day it was mounted and we got a driving rain from the direction of the door. So my husband mounted a strip of metal with a piece of rubber above it to make a flap that now protects the opening and prevents rain from getting into it. The flap just has to be lifted to access the pull down door to the Drop Box. We now have the tenants drop their rent into the Drop Box and send a text when they have done so, so that we know who has paid, when, and that it should be picked up. It is otherwise sturdy and well made, was easy to mount, and will probably outlast us!
