Mat is heavy enough to stay in positions and looks vwery well built. Haven't tested it yet but looks good so far.

I have a net setup in my backyard for hitting golf balls and went through a couple different mats to hit off of. I found this product and I am very happy with it. It's heavy enough that it stays put when I use it. In fact I made a terrible shot and came down on the back edge with an iron, it took a small ship out of the rubber but only moved an inch or two. As for leaving marks on my clubs it does leave a small bit of green on the soul of my clubs after hitting them a few times but easily comes off when I clean up my clubs with soap and water. The rubber tee that comes with it has lasted so far without trouble but I am going to look for a slightly longer tee to use with my large headed driver. Overall I rate this an excellent product and would recommend to everyone. Now that I have used this product for a while now (I've probably hit well over 1,000 balls) I have to say I'm just as impressed as when I wrote my original review, maybe more. This mat has held up very well and the green part of the mat and the rubber tee still look like they did when I opened the package. I have now hit the edge two more times while swinging a club and as the first time barely moved the mat and cut a small chunk out of the black rubber. I think my hands took more punishment than the mat or my clubs. So if you are worried about durability and how tough it is I can only say it's worked wonderfully for me, well beyond my expectations and I'm sure you can see I've been tough on it. My setup is outside and I do not leave it out in the weather, I bring it inside after every use but the weather is pretty tough out here (I live at 9,200 ft in the mountains of Colorado). Once again I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a good practice mat.

Pretty good hitting mat for the price. I have had some of it start peeling up after hundreds of shots with irons and wedges. It has a great feel though. Just the right size for at home practice. Just wish it would have included a tall enough tee to drive off of. You will need to buy that seperately. The other is only tall enough for the 3 wood tee shots. For me anyhow.

good heavy mat. Does not move much. The included rubber tee broke within the first hour of using but I just replace it with an extra rubber tee laying in the household.

A fat hit will knock a chunk out of it very easily, and I did, and now it is pretty much useless.

this hitting mat is heavy duty. i wanted something that would last and stand up to being used daily. i can hit 30 to 40 balls during a practice session and this mat stays in place. the mat is somewhat heavy due to the thick rubber backing. can't go wrong with this mat.

Heavy duty mat, not cheap at all and can take a beating. The size is ideal for practice and making contact with the ball. I highly recommend for those who enjoy the practice of golf!

The hitting mat is well built and heavy. It stays in place when hitting. The hitting mat so far is holding up well to irons striking the mat.

Have hit hundreds of shots and see no signs of wear and tear. It moves a little, especially when using inside, but that's better than taking a divot out of it.

This is a good mat for the price. I've been using it for about six months are there has been some wear and tear but overall it's pretty durable and provides a good hitting surface. I recommend this if you are looking for an affordable hitting mat.

I was worried based on some of the other reviews, but it does well with me. I'm new to golf and I feel like it could withstand a beating from me. The mat itself will move a little but it doesn't bother me at all.

The mat works exactly as described. I have had this for about two months. Appears to be durable - I have hit a few hundred shots, and no tearing. Also, I leave it out in the sun, and no fading, yet. It is thick enough that when I hit the ball fat, I feel the mishit, but the mat does absorb some of the impact.Plenty big enough to hit shots using my wedge up to my driver, but you have to stand beside it, not on it. Hence I have to chock up slightly on the club, as the height of the ball is raised the height of the mat. I am okay with this as a large mat would have been more expensive and much harder to move. I have a dog, and if I left something like this out in my backyard, she most likely would have chewed it. So once I am done using my net and mat, both go away. The small size of the mat facilitates portability.I would buy again.

Perfect for setting up a tall tee for your driver, a mid size tee for small clubs and hitting off the turf for irons. Being able to set up three different tees makes practice that much easier. Nice product!

Would more accurately be described as a driving mat, since there is absolutely no cushion underneath the grass. Trying to hit a full iron shot or even a pitch from this mat could lead to injury. Unless your golf improvement goal includes putting your orthopedist's children through college, I would look elsewhere. I returned mine after three (painful) swings.
