We already had a natural gas patio heater, but when I saw this one, I talked my husband into getting it, too! After all, I'm always cold out there at night, so it could not hurt to have another! I love the look of this one. It is fun, and stylish, and definitely different from any other patio heaters we saw. The visible flame is very cool! It is about two feet high, and is definitely eye catching. It was a little bit difficult to put together, but after that, it was smooth sailing. It is very tall, which is nice, because it seems to really increase the radius of the heat, I can feel it farther away from this one than from our other. All of our guests compliment us on it, and they agree, it is unlike any other. The connector is the same as our gas grill, so it was easy to get hooked up and connected and then we put it right to use.

Adds some character to the patio along with some warmth on a cool eveing. The shape of this heater reduces the worry of having the wind blow over the heater, as the mushroom topped ones can do.

Great looking patio heater, takes awhile to put together but is not difficult. I assembled mine alone...took about 3 beers, that's about 1.5 hrs for those who can't relate. Had a 'traditional' unit that finally gave up the ghost...this unit doesn't put off the same type of heat, but aesthetically, is a huge leap. Since I live in SoCal, I'll take that trade off. An additional positive, this unit arrived 2 days from when I ordered...with standard shipping. That's awesome!

Perfect. Easy to assemble. Puts out great lighting and warmth for a small space. Not as Giant and heavy as the commercial style heaters. Perfect on our patio by our hot tub and a great conversation piece. Love it. Two thumbs up.

We use them on our rooftop patio. They are perfect on chilly nights when you want to sit outside .

Amazing and beautiful! I was worried about such a large, delicate, unseen purchase but it is wonderful! It is nicer than ones we see in restaurants!

I bought this as a gift and was great addition for pool patio. It took less than 2 hours for one person to assemble. It does not heat up a big space unless you stand next to it but does add ambiance and lights up the entire backyard like a campfire.I think the triangular shape is more stable than rectangular as it stands like a tripod. With a gas tank installed the base becomes more firm with two coasters for moving around. It is also easy to light with an electric battery ignition switch.

This was our second one that we have bought. Our kids love it! It does burn a little more gas then the others, but it lets off more heat too!

I purchased this for a party. It is in instant talk of the town piece. I will light it in the evening and just stand next to it. It is VERY cool looking when lit up. It does not use as much propane as you may think. We have run it for several nights, and have yet to change out the tank. In addition, the outside of the unit stays cool, yet, puts out a decent amount of heat from the top square portion. Very nice. Love it!

Nice addition to a covered picnic/oyster steaming pit. Great to look at but the night was cold and we had to stand right next to heater to get any heat. Assembly took about 3 hours. I would recommend for a cool night, but other patio heaters might provide more heat in really cold weather.

Fairly easy to assemble, but tedious time consuming unnecessary step of removing plastic. You have to take the bottom apart to remove plastic that really protects nothing. Put together 6 of them ranging for 45 to 30 minutes. Look awesome will check back for heat production.

I assembled this heater yesterday, 8 December, 2013. The heater was packaged very well. As usual, I took everything out of the packaging and got an idea of how it would all fit together. For me, instructions are usually not necessary but I always read them in case there is a helpful hint or just because I find the way some instructions are written very humorous and entertaining. If you are one who reads instructions and follows assembly only by the order described in the instructions, you will have problems! The instructions for this heater are out of sync, especially when it comes to the part of attaching the glass tube to the heater. I am paraphrasing here but it goes something like this: Step 1. Grasp the upper end of the glass tube with one hand and the base with the other. Insert the upper part of the glass tube into the upper heater assembly and lower the tube into the base of the heater. Step 2. Insert the rubber gasket into the lower heater assembly. This is a problem because you have to seat the rubber gasket into the heater base before you can install the glass tube. Be careful here because if you install the glass tube before seating the rubber gasket you will be setting the glass tube onto the surface where the rubber gasket should have gone first. I could imagine bad things happening here (broken glass tube). Even if nothing bad happened you would still have to remove the tube to install the gasket. Also, the gasket is misidentified in the instructions, It is labeled with the same letter designator as the steel coupler used to connect the glass tubes (KK).Another annoying but not critical problem is; the instructions tell you to install the upper heater assembly in one step and then later they tell you to install the bolts into the top of the upper heater assembly for the heat deflector attachment. You should install these bolts before you install the upper heater assembly. Otherwise you're going to have to get a ladder to reach up to the top just to attach these bolts. There are a few other blurbs in the instructions where the description of the action is not well defined by words and instead there are photographs showing the action. These photos are small and low resolution and don't show the action in good detail. While assembling I had to bend some of the frame pieces to make them line up properly. They are lite gauge and can be manipulated by hand so not a big problem. On the wire rung shields, I had to use some pliers to bend a couple of the hooks so that the piece would fit into the slots on the frame. Again, not a big deal but it wouldn't go together as manufactured. After assembly, the heater worked as described. I haven't owned any other patio heaters so can't compare the heat output. You do have to stand fairly close on a cold New Mexico evening to stay warm with this one. The flame shooting up the glass tube is super cool and kind of makes you feel warmer just looking at it!.
